Shannon Rena Parker, 54, of Buchanan, Tennessee, died Wednesday, August 7, 2024, at TriStar Centennial Medical Center in Nashville, TN.
She worked for many years as a private duty caregiver for the state of Tennessee. Shannon loved being a devoted wife, Mom, and especially a Nana to her grandchildren. She was a member of the “Blues Crew” at Blues Landing and a member of Christ Chapel at Nelson Creek.
Shannon was born March 24, 1970, in Paris, TN, to the late Paul Edwin Bucy and Dianne Raspberry Bucy, who survives, of Paris, TN.
She was married May 3, 1991, to Jason David “Cornbred” Parker, who preceded her in death on December 21, 2022.
Along with her mother, she is also survived by her daughter, Jaden “Lulu” Parker (Tyler Dohner) of Puryear, TN; her son, Jesse “Bubba” Parker of Paris, TN; two sisters, Shelly Bucy of Puryear, TN, and Shereece (Joseph) Walker of Paris, TN; three stepbrothers, Cody Bonifas of OH, Caleb Bonifas of OH, and Brandon Jacobs of Paris, TN; five grandchildren, Jake Parker, Jaren Parker, Emily Parker, Gracie Coltrane, and Jase Tyler Dohner; her mother-in-law, Jane McKenzie of Paris, TN; her brother-in-law, Curtis Parker of Puryear, TN; several nieces & nephews; and two dear friends, Patricia Todd and Maggie Stewart.
Ridgeway Funeral Home 201 Dunlap St./P.O. Box 788, Paris, TN 38242, will be handling the arrangements. Visitation will be Friday, August 9, 2024, from 4:00 pm – 7:00 pm at Ridgeway Funeral Home, and continue Saturday, August 10, 2022, from 11:00 am – 1:00 pm at Ridgeway Funeral Home. The funeral service will be Saturday, August 10, 2024, at 1:00 pm at Ridgeway Funeral Home, with Patricia Todd officiating.
Serving as pallbearers will be Joseph Walker, Bryce Walker, Nicholas Stewart, Cody Bonifas, Caleb Bonifas, and David Todd. Named as honorary pallbearers are Drew Stewart, Mark Chandler, and Mark Wade.
Burial will be in Mt. Zion Church of Christ Cemetery in Puryear, TN.
