Carolyn Ann Jones Bumpus, 85, of Paris, Tennessee, passed away Sunday, August 4, 2024, at her residence.
She worked for several years at Holley Carburetor Plant in Paris. She also formerly worked at the Henry County Election Commission and Clifty Farms. Carolyn was a member of East Wood Church of Christ. Her grandchildren loved her yeast rolls.
Carolyn was born October 9, 1938, in Camden, TN to the late Beulah Douglas Jones and the late Paul Jones.
She was married on July 28, 1956, to Leon Bumpus, who survives, of Paris.
Besides her husband, Carolyn is also survived by two daughters, Lesa (Vic) Adams of Buchanan, TN and Judy Horton of Oakland, TN; one son, David (Faith) Bumpus of Paris, TN; nine grandchildren, Dr. Michael Adams DVM, Jenny (Brad) Walker, Beau (Teia) Adams, Cody (Kelly) Bumpus, Brady Bumpus, Luke Horton, Anna Kate Horton, Courtney Terrell, and Richard (Ashley) Terrell; and six great grandchildren.
Along with. her parents, she was preceded in death by a son-in-law, Dennis Reid Horton in 2019,
Arrangements are being handled by Ridgeway Funeral Home, 201 Dunlap St, Paris, TN 38242. Visitation will be Wednesday, August 7, 2024, from 4 – 7 pm and Thursday, August 8, 2024, from 10 – 11 am. The funeral service will be Thursday, August 8, 2024, at 11:00 am at Ridgeway Funeral Home with John Dale officiating.
Pallbearers will be her grandchildren and friends.
Burial will follow in Rose Lawn Memory Garden in Paris.
