Union City, Tenn.–The Union City Big Lots is one of 300 stores that are set to close their doors. No timeline has yet been announced.
The popular discount retailer announced in June it was facing financial strain and would have to close 35-40 stores in the U.S. However, Big Lots is now announcing almost 300 stores are set to close.
At the Union City store, there are signs stating that ‘all sales are final’ in the store. Employees are also telling customers the store is closing.
Big Lots is announcing the following stores in Tennessee and Kentucky are closing:

- 209 S Royal Oaks Blvd., Ste 206, Franklin
- 2301 Gallatin Pike N, Madison
- 1410 S 1st St., Union City
Kentucky (3)
- 1321 2nd St., Henderson
- 1980 Pavilion Way, Lexington
- 4025 Poplar Level Rd., Unit 102, Louisville
