Paris, Tenn.–Due to the wet weather, tonight’s Olympics festivities in Paris (Tennessee, that is) have been cancelled.
City Manager Kim Foster issued the following notice:
“After speaking with our DJ and the band scheduled tonight, the decision was made to cancel the Olympic Block Party at Eiffel Tower Park due to the weather. The radar has been unpredictable and we don’t want to endanger their very valuable equipment.
We are sad, we were ready to party! Hope you all enjoy watching the opening ceremonies tonight on TV.”
The PARIS Olympics decorations are already up at the Eiffel Tower and are just waiting for photo ops.
