Paris, Tenn.–It was a fantastic day on the water with the annual Paris-Henry County Chamber of Commerce Water Fun Run Saturday.
Interim Chamber Director Rachel Steadly said, “With over 600 booklets sold and even more people joining in for the fun, the event was a resounding success. The turnout continues to amaze us each year as more participants and visitors flock to our town to be part of this exciting tradition.”
The Water Fun Run has become a highly anticipated event, bringing joy and excitement to everyone involved. Steadly said, “We are grateful to Lewy’s Asphalt and Paving for being our presenting sponsor and to all the sponsors who supported us this year. Your contributions are invaluable and play a significant role in making this event possible.”
Winners of the boat decorating contest were: first place, Sandy Mehlhorn of Martin; second place, Curtis Copeland of Paris (the new Henry County High School boys baseball coach); and third place, Dana Simmons of Trezevant.
Steadly said, “A special thank you goes out to the marinas that participated and to all our participants for their enthusiasm. Your involvement is what makes this event a huge success. We would also like to congratulate our winners: Brian Belford, Jenea Jackson, and Amanda Hamm!
“As we celebrate this year’s success, we are already looking forward to next year’s Water Fun Run. We invite everyone to start brainstorming theme ideas and send them our way. Your creativity and input will help make the next event even more memorable.”
