Paris, Tenn.–A small army of volunteers handed out some 600 backpacks full of school supplies at the annual Back to School Bash at the Henry County Fairgrounds Saturday morning. Organized by The Shed and The Family Resource Center, some 200 volunteers helped put the supplies in backpacks Friday and around 125 helped distribute them at the drive-thru event today. Free water was handed out and Nana’s Treats gave out free ice cream. Ace’s Pizza and Subway provided lunch for volunteers Friday. Shannon McFarlin photo.
