Terry Burton Vaughan, 86, of Clarksville, Tennessee, formerly of Bumpus Mills, TN, passed away Wednesday, July 17, 2024. Terry was born in Stewart County, TN, on September 8, 1937, the son of the late Thomas Earl and Mary Lou Wallace Vaughan.

Terry was a member of Dyers Creek First Church of God. He retired from the Clarksville Leaf Chronicle after 43 years of dedicated service.

Terry was an avid hunter all his life and for 40 years he joined his brothers, sons, nephews, and friends on annual trips to Nebraska, Kansas, and South Dakota to hunt pheasant. In addition to hunting, he loved to help his family and friends with his MacGyver-like skills. He could fix or build anything!

In addition to his parents, Thomas Earl and Mary Lou Wallace Vaughan, he is preceded in death by his wife of 65 years, Mildred Kay Kingins Vaughan; brother, Jerry Sam Vaughan; and sister, Emma Francis Owsley

Terry is survived by his brother, Ted Vaughan; sister-in-law, Kathy Vaughan; sister-in-law, Donna Oliver; children, Randy Vaughan (Julie), Charles Vaughan (Sandy), and Kimberly Butts (Kenneth); grandchildren, Jessica Vaughan (Michael Kelly), Tiffany Foster (Eric), Alynn Harris, Jacob Vaughan, Dalton Vaughan (Mae), Kaylee Vaughan (Nathan), Matthew Butts (Kacy), Mackenzie Matthews (Jesse) and Ethan Butts; great-grandchildren, Destani Vaughan-Locklear (Tyree), Isaiah Locklear, Zachariah Vaughan-Kelly, Kelsey Foster, Allie Harris, Rylee Harris,

Kylee Vaughan, Jaxon Butts, and Boston Head; and great-great-grandchild, Brandon Boykin; many nieces and nephews; and his cherished dog, Rolo.

The funeral service will be at 2:00PM on Sunday, July 21, 2024, at Anglin Funeral Home with Trent Knott officiating. Burial will follow in the Miles Cemetery, Bumpus Mills, TN.

Visitation for Mr. Vaughan will be from Noon until the time of service at 2:00PM on Sunday, July 21, 2024. Pallbearers will be Charles Vaughan, Dalton Vaughan, Jacob Vaughan, Kenneth Butts, Matthew Butts, Ethan Butts, Jesse Matthews, and Isaiah Locklear.

Memorial Contributions may be made to the National Breast Cancer Foundation in honor of his late wife, Mildred.
