Paris, Tenn.–It’s time for the annual Water Fun Run!
Join hundreds of lake lovers on boats and jet skis for the Paris-Henry County Chamber of Commerce “Water Fun Run,” sponsored by Lewy’s Sod, Landscaping & Dirt Work, on Saturday, July 20th.
This poker run on the water will take you to Cypress Springs, The Breakers, Buchanan Resort, Fat Daddy’s, Pleasant View, Leatherwood Resort & Marina, Paris Landing State Park Marina, Brownfield Riverside Resort, Lakeview Cottages and Marina, and Hawley & McCadams Party dock and stop by Trolinger’s before coming to the lake. A bonus stamp can be purchased at Paris Landing check-in for $10. In all, participants have the opportunity to get 13 total cards. Players must visit at least 5 marinas for their chance to win one of three $500.00 grand prizes.
Paris Landing State Park Marina hosts check-ins at 3 pm, 4 pm, or 5 pm where you’ll draw cards and find out which lucky player ends up with the best 5 card hand.
Decorate your boat with the “Let the Games Begin” theme to add to the fun for a chance to win a gift certificate. Show off your team pride for whatever team you cheer for! Prizes will be awarded for first, second, and third place.
Also, for every $10 a participant spends at a marina, they will be provided with a coin at the volunteer table. At check-in those coins will be swapped for a chance to win a 26 qt custom Orca Cooler sponsored by Trolinger’s in Paris.
“This is the Chamber of Commerce’s biggest fundraiser of the year and is such a fun way to explore Kentucky Lake and all that our wonderful marinas have to offer. It is such a great summer event that brings a lot of friends from out of town,” according to Rachel Steedly, Interim Chamber Director. “This event allows us to put several hundred boats in multiple marinas throughout the day. We encourage you to buy lunch and a souvenir while you are there! The weather looks great for the day so come on out, play and have some fun!!”
Packets and T-shirts are available at the Chamber of Commerce between the hours of 8:00-4:30. It costs $25 to participate and t-shirts and tank tops are $25.
