Obion, Tenn.–A home explosion claimed a life today in Obion County.
Law enforcement confirmed that Paula McGuire, age 55, was killed in the accident. Her husband, Daryl McGuire, age 54, was airlifted to a Memphis hospital with injuries.
The accident occured at their home on Jim Carver Rd., caused by a reported propane leak. Preliminary investigation indicated that Ms. McGuire was lighting a candle when the explosion occured.
Preliminary investigation by the Obion County Sheriff’s Office, which has requested assistance from the TBI.
