Paris, Tenn.–Tommy Hutson was in for a big surprise after Thursday night’s Henry County Junior Livestock marketing meeting. He learned that the 2024 Henry County Fair Book is dedicated to him, for his years of service helping with the fair and as a long-time supporter of the fair in many ways.

Michelle Hopkins of the Fair Board made the announcement, for which his family was present, too: his wife, Crystal, and their children Hannah and Jack. “We are proud to dedicate the 2024 book to Tommy Hutson,” Hopkins said.

In the dedication, the fair board notes what a hard worker Hutson is and that he has been involved in agriculture his entire life. “He can accomplish anything,” Hopkins said.

Hutson attended Buchanan School and is a graduate of Henry County High School and was involved in 4-H and the FFA. “He has been farming since he could walk,” Hopkins said. He was involved in heling in the tobacco and hay fields, raising hogs, working for Plumley Farms in high school and for his aunt and uncle’s farm, Green Gate Farms in Buchanan. He is now the owner of Hutson Farms and raises commercial cattle, some show calves and hay with his famly in Buchanan.

He and his wife, Crystal, married in 2000 and with their children, nieces and nephews and one great-niece, are just as proud of all the Henry County Fair kids as they are of their own.
