Henry, Tenn.–Good news from the city of Henry.
Mayor Dustin Odom reported, “After several months of working with our wonderful (Henry County) Board of Education, we have officially entered into an agreement with the Board of Education to take over the maintenance/upkeep of the “J.P. Hill Memorial Park”.
The J.P. Hill Memorial Park contains a soccer field and baseball field and ground-breaking ceremonies at the park were held several years ago.
Odom said, “In return, we will soon be able to open this property back up to the public for events such as soccer games, baseball games, etc. We don’t have a set-in-stone plan for the renovation of the soccer and baseball fields but we hope to have it completed in the fall or spring.”
“I’d like to give a special shoutout to our city commissioners and Director Watkins for supporting the overall health and well-being of our citizens,” Odom said.
