
John Arthur Flam, age 84 of Paris, TN, died Thursday, July 4, 2024, at AHC of Paris.
He retired after 43 years as a nuclear physicist from Lawrence Livermore National Laboratories in Nevada. He was a U.S. Air Force veteran. John was an original cowboy in the modern era. He enjoyed fishing and could fix anything. John was kind, modest, and loved his family.
John was born May 24, 1940, in Minneapolis, MN, to the late John Milton Flam and the late Myrtle Irene Nordness Flam.
He was married December 26, 2007, to Cathy Kirk, who survives, of Paris, TN.
Along with his wife, he is also survived by one son, John (Kathleen) Flem of Maui, HI; one stepdaughter, Kari (Jarard) Havard of Seattle, WA; and one sister, Sylvia Kirchman of San Diego, CA.
In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by one son, Kenneth Flam; and one granddaughter, Tara Flam.
Arrangements are being handled by Ridgeway Funeral Home, 201 Dunlap Street/PO Box 788, Paris, TN 38242. The body is to be cremated with a memorial service to be held at a later date.
