Henry, Tenn.–The driver escaped without injuries but that much cannot be said for one of the firefighters who responded to this call. The Henry Volunteer Fire Department was dispatched on a report of a motor vehicle accident with injuries Friday afternoon to the 6500 block of Palestine Rd. Engines 2 & 3 responded to the scene with six firefighters to find a single vehicle on its side in a corn field. The team stabilized the vehicle and extricated the patient from the vehicle. The patient was released on scene by the ambulance squad after evaluation. Unfortunately while lifting the patient one of the firefighters suffered a dislocated knee and was transported by EMS to the medical center for treatment. No other injuries were reported. The incident is being investigated by THP.
