Union City, Tenn.–The Obion County Sheriff’s Office lost one of its own Tuesday with the passing of K9 Rowdy.
K9 Rowdy was Sgt. Stacey Bostwick’s partner for many years, including several years at the Henry County Sheriff’s Office. According to the sheriff’s office, “he hunted down bad guys like no other.” Bostwick and Rowdy have tracked suspects in several high profile cases in west Tennessee, including the 2018 capture of accused murderer and arsonist Kirby Wallace.
Bostwick posted on his Facebook page, “Well today was the day I said farewell to the best officer I have ever worked with. K-9 Rowdy my buddy! Rowdy has been one heck of a partner. We have patrolled together and hunted the bad guy for many years. I’ll never forget him he has kept me awake in that patrol car on night shift, listened to my singing and listened to all my problems. Rowdy has been there when needed to find the missing and worked hard to find the bad guys. Rowdy will always be my hero and be missed greatly.”
We appreciate Rowdy’s service, and he will be missed by all. End Of Watch 7-2-2024.
