
Mrs. Shirley Hamm, 81, of Hornbeak, passed away at 8:24 p.m. Monday, June 24, 2024, at her home.
Funeral services will be conducted 1:00 p.m. Thursday in the chapel of Edmaiston Mosley Funeral Home. Brother Eddie Mallonee and Brother Russell Zik will officiate. Burial will follow in Antioch Cemetery in Hornbeak.
Visitation will be held at Edmaiston Mosley Funeral Home from 11:00 a.m. until the hour of services Thursday.
Pallbearers will be Brad Woody, Scott Webb, Jamin Barker, Greg Whitmore, Todd Jernigan, Tim Hamm and Chad Priest.
Shirley was born September 18, 1942, in Hornbeak, daughter of the late Joe Frank and Grace Helen (Alexander) Jerden. She married Les Hamm September 9, 1960. He survives. She worked for the former Reelfoot Bank and loved to do quilting. Shirley was a member of Second Baptist Church in Union City.
She is also survived by one daughter, Debbie Smith (Richard) of Martin; one son, Mike Hamm (Amanda) of Springville; three grandchildren, Ashlynn Hamm of Martin, Thomas Elam (Bri) of Union City and Eternity Alexander of Puryear; two brothers, David Jerden of Hornbeak and Joe Jerden of Hornbeak; two sisters, Linda Jernigan of Hornbeak and Beverly Coston of Hornbeak; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
She was also preceded in death by one brother, Tommy Jerden; and three sisters, Marguerite Wilson, Marscella Erwin and Opal Kirby.
