
Mr. Neil Wilson “Bud” Jones, 80, of Paris, Tennessee, passed away Saturday, June 22, 2024, at AHC Paris.
His body is to be cremated and no services are planned per Neil’s request but donations can be made in his memory to the Alzheimer’s Foundation of America, 322 Eighth Avenue 16th Floor, New York, NY 10001.
Neil Wilson Jones was born March 26, 1944, in Ladysmith, Wisconsin to the late Neil Edwin Jones and the late Halcyon Bernice Engh Jones. He married Sharon Katzberg Jones on May 6, 1977 and she survives in Paris. Bud is also survived by his daughters, Teri (Randy) Thompson of Paris, K La Rae (Jim) Whiting of Oakbrook Terrace, Illinois, and Lynette (Craig) Stewart of Gilbert, Arizona; by grandchildren, Liam Stewart, Jimmy Whiting, Sara Whiting, Jessica Whiting, Brianna Thompson, Mary Whiting, Cameron Stewart, Logan Thompson, and Tommy Whiting; great grandchildren, Bryson Dean, Briley Dean, and Octavia Stewart; sister, Kay Ralston of Ladysmith, Wisconsin; aunt, Erna Stingle; and by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Besides his parents, Mr. Jones is also preceded in death by a grandson, Michael Dean, by his brother-in-law, Glen Ralston and sisters, Betty (Tom) Leonhard, Jackie (Red) Haag, and Bonnie Jones.
Mr. Jones was a proud U.S. Air Force Veteran, serving as a Sergeant in Vietnam. He was a Lutheran by faith. Neil also worked as a firefighter in Illinois, drove a truck over the road for some 32 years and upon retiring worked for Tractor Supply in Paris. He was a family man who dearly loved his wife, girls and grandchildren.
