Paris, Tenn.–Paris Parks and Recreation Department Director Tony Lawrence, at left, parks department workers and certified installers were working hard Thursday installing the new handicap swing at the Blue Cross/Blue Shield playground at the Eiffel Tower Park. The certified installers are still here today, afterwhich it will be the parks crew that will be putting the finishing touches on the new swing. The swing was financed with grant monies. A safety surface will be installed under the base and after that the concrete has to cure for 26 days before it will be open for use by the public. Shannon McFarlin photo.
