Paris, Tenn.–The Paris Parks and Recreation Department began working today on the installation of a new handicapped chair swing in Eiffel Tower Park. The new swing is located adjacent to the Blue Cross/Blue Shield Park.
The city has been working for some time on acquiring a handicapped chair swing. The swing was purchased with a 3-Star grant through the State of Tennessee. The Parks Department hopes to complete the installation in a few weeks.
The safety surface will take some time to complete and there will be a ramp to enter the swing that may be used with a wheelchair. It can be used individually or another person can sit across as well.
As soon as this project is complete the city will announce it to the public. City of Paris photo.
