Paris, Tenn.—The board of the Paris-Henry County Chamber of Commerce is announcing it has reopened the search for the Chamber’s new executive director, replacing Interim Director Rachel Steedly, who has announced she is stepping down.

“Rachel Steedly has served as our interim director for over a year now, and she has done a remarkable job,” according to Dr. Kimberly Martin, president of the Chamber board. “I think we all hoped she would stay in the position permanently, but, unfortunately, she has never been interested in taking on the executive director role permanently, and she has let us know that it’s time for us to launch the search for her replacement.”

Steedly said the decision to step down was a bittersweet one for her. “It has been a journey of many highs and lows, but I am truly grateful for the opportunity I have had to serve our community in this role. As we move forward, please know that this transition is going to be a process, and I will be here until the right person is found to take on this role permanently. Your continued support and dedication are invaluable during this time.”
