Henry County EMTs Hailed For Saving Life

Paris, Tenn.–Two EMTs from Henry County Medical Center’s American Medical Response unit were recognized today for their life-saving skills.

Chris Hummer and Emma Walters were on duty transporting a patient from Henry County Medical Center to Murray-Calloway County Hospital when the patient began having a STEMI, heart attack, regarded as the most serious attack. The patient became unresponsive and went into cardiac arrest. THe pair were able to revive the patient, then transport the patient to the cath lab at Murray-Calloway. The patient was immediately sent to surgery where a stent was installed. The patient is now in recovery and waiting to go home. (Henry County AMR photo).
