Deputy MacDonald & K9 Harry Honored

Dover, Tenn.–A Stewart County deputy and his K9 partner were recognized for service above and beyond the call of duty by Sheriff Frankie Gray.
At the June 3 County Commission meeting, Sheriff Gray recognized Lt. Robbie MacDonald and his K-9 partner Harry. The partners were recognized for service stemming from May 10th incident.
Lt. MacDonald and K-9 Harry were able to track and apprehend a subject who had warrants in Kansas and Florida and wanted on charges in Kentucky. The suspect was being pursued by Kentucky State Police when he abandoned the stolen vehicle he was driving in the campground on the Kentucky side of Land Between the Lakes.
Kentucky State Police requested assistance from Stewart County Sheriff’s Office when K-9 Harry was able to pickup scent trail and tracked and apprehended the suspect.
