Graveside services for Joyce F. James is Sunday, June 9, 2024 at 2:00 p.m. at Mt. Olivet Cemetery, McKenzie. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Sunday, 12:30 p.m. – 1:30 p.m.
Mrs. James, 86 years old, died at Jackson Madison Co. General Hospital on Friday, June 7, 2024.
She is a member of First Baptist Church McKenzie and a retired Stylist and & Owner of Joyce’s Coiffure’s in McKenzie.
She was born in Greenfield, on July 18, 1937 to Guy and Beatrice Williams Johnson. After graduation she attended Anderson Beauty College and married John James Jr.
She is survived by her daughters Tammy James Hunter of Columbia, and Debbie (Doug) Freeland of Jackson, a brother Billy G. (Marion) Johnson of Bradford and four grandchildren Courtney (Jake) Grissim, Chase Hunter, Ashley (Adam) Pratt and Tyler Freeland.
She is preceded in death by her parents and husband John James, Jr.
