Paris, Tenn.–The Henry County School System is once again participating in the summer nutrition program which offers nutritious meals to loaw-income areas during the months when school is not in session. It’s formally called the Seamless Summer Option and is administered by the Tennessee Department of Education and is a continuation of the National School Lunch Program and School Breakfast Program with the same meal patterns offered during the school year.
Henry County School System is currently serving an average of 1,000 meals daily at nine different sites throughout the county.
School Nutrition Director Tiffany Latta said, “No registration is necessary, meals are free to any child under the age of 18.”
Meals are pre-packaged and can be picked up Monday-Friday through July 19th at the sites listed below. Children must be present to pick up meals.
