Graveside services for Sara G. Hollowell Scates will be held Tuesday, June 4, 2024, at Shiloh Cemetery, McKenzie, Tennessee.
Mrs. Scates, 81, died at her residence in Magnolia, Texas, Wednesday, May 29, 2024.
She was born in Huntingdon, Tennessee, Tuesday, May 11, 1943, to the late Lucian and Queenie Wilson Hollowell.
She worked at Beverly Hills Intermediate Middle School, Houston, Texas from 1974 – 1989 and then worked at the administration office for Harris County School District Houston, Texas.
She is survived by her husband: Curtis Neil Scates, of Magnolia; two children: Trey (Jennifer) Scates, of Magnolia, and Steve(Mary) Scates, of Conroe, Texas, a brother: Dwayne (Dot) Hollowell, of McKenzie; seven grandchildren: Anthony Scates, Jessica Scates, Hayden Scates, McKay (Erin) Scates, Dillon Scates, Corey Scates, and Hilary Case; and one great grandbaby on the way: MaKenna.
