Mr. Benjamin “Leon” Miller, 65, passed away Friday, May 31, 2024, at his home in Indian Mound, Tennessee, surrounded by loved ones.

He was born Wednesday, December 24, 1958 in Erin, Tennessee, to Hobert Miller and Vivian Pfleeger (Wallace). Leon is preceded in death by his father: Hobert Miller; little brother: Dennis Harris; and his brother-in-law: Billy Jones.

Leon embraced his all-important role as the eldest of six children and often reminded his brothers that he was the most handsome and number 1 son.

He had a lifelong love affair with all things sweet and didn’t go a day without a Little Debbie Cake and Coca Cola.

Leon was a tradesman, working in several different fields including logging, diesel mechanics, construction, and electrical.

He was a big believer in pockets, evident in his typical attire of a pocket t shirt and cargo pants, and always had his pocket knife, pencil, letterman tool, 5/16 chuck driver, and any other “come in handys” he came across in a day.

Leon built an empire of antique junk, train and moonshine décor, and loved spending time on his front porch with family and friends, mowing grass, piddling in his garage, beating anyone brave enough to play him a game of checkers, and taking advantage of every opportunity to get a good jump scare out of whoever may be in the wrong place at the wrong time.

He was a loving and devoted son, brother, father, papaw, and great papaw.

He is survived by his three daughters: Kimberly Miller, Arica Miller, and Jennifer Lindsay; two bonus sons: Bobby Lee and Cody Lee (Lesley); grandchildren: Shelby, Allan, Isabel, Coy, Waylon, Walton, and Addilynn; great grandchildren: Emma and Caitlyn; mother: Vivian Pfleeger; siblings: Timothy Kern (Rebecca), Kathy Jones, Ralph Pfleeger (Carrie), James Pfleeger (Shelly); and several nieces, nephews, and special friends who have become family.

Visitation will be held Saturday, June 8, 2024, from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service at 12:00 p.m. at Anglin Funeral Home, with Brian Grasty officiating.

Burial will follow at the Fairview Cemetery, Indian Mound, Tennessee.

A reception will follow at his home in Indian Mound, Tennessee.

Pallbearers will be Mitch Gregg, Larry Szostak, Thomas Grasty, Jamie Atkins, David Parr, and Tommy Keatts.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Angels On Duty, 1104 Old Highway 79, Dover, Tennessee, 37079.

Arrangements are entrusted to Anglin Funeral Home, Dover, Tennessee, and online condolences may be made at anglinfuneralhome.com.
