Paris, Tenn.–The Tomorrow’s Hope Pregnancy Medical Clinic in Paris has hired Angie Dodd as its new Executive Director. Tomorrow’s Hope has come full circle as Dodd founded the Tomorrow’s Hope ministry years ago.
Previous Director Jenifer Whitmire and her husband Ben, recently moved away to pastor a church in South Carolina.
Dodd said, “To be the Executive Director at the ministry God laid on my heart over 25 years ago is both surreal and a dream come true. It’s exciting to continue serving and supporting women and promoting life through this ministry. Our staff and volunteers are amazing and we plan to keep with the original mission and vision of Tomorrow’s Hope while also moving into the future with new ways of reaching those who need us most.”
Angie was an RN at Henry County Medical Center in Paris when she felt led by God to start this ministry to help women experiencing the crisis of an unplanned pregnancy. A steering committee was formed and Tomorrow’s Hope opened in 1998.
Since then she has worked in surgery at Henry County Medical Center for 25 years, serving as a leader there in educating nurses, writing policies and walking the department through several successful Joint Commission surveys. Her last two years in surgery were as the Co-Director of the department where she learned many of the business skills needed to lead as Executive Director at Tomorrow’s Hope. During that time she also served 11 years in youth ministry and has been active in several other ministry leadership areas such as Celebrate Recovery and Divorce Care.
“I truly believe God has walked me step by step through difficult life experiences, ministry experiences, training in counseling, and leadership roles all in preparation to serve in this capacity. And He has built an amazing ministry through the work of the four directors before me. The timing hasn’t been right for me to serve here for 25 years, but now it is,” said Dodd. She began as the center’s nurse performing ultrasounds in September of 2023 before taking this role. Starting as the nurse for eight months has provided a deeper understanding of how the whole ministry works.
Angie is married to the love of her life from 35 years ago, Vince Dodd. They have four children between the two of them and two grandchildren.
Amazingly, she adopted her son, Parker, who is now 13, through Tomorrow’s Hope, was in the room when he was born and has been his mom ever since. She graduated from Union University with a Bachelors of Science in Nursing in 1996. She attends Tennessee Valley Community Church and is a member of the worship team there.
