Paris, Tenn.–The annual Henry County Memorial Day program will be held at 8 a.m. Monday, May 27 at the Henry County Courthouse. Speaker will be Major Susan Parker of the Tennessee National Guard. Major Parker is the former commander of the 212th Engineering Co. in Paris.
Junior Staggs of Puryear will sing patriotic songs and Ronnie Norwood is master of ceremonies.
As is custom, other activities will include the laying of wreaths by local veterans’ organizations at the Veterans Memorial on the courthouse lawn. The Tennessee State Guard also will perform a mock military funeral.
If it rains, the program will be held indoors at the courthouse.
