No Serious Injuries After Semi Rollover Accident

Hazel, Ky.-There were no serious injuries following a semi rollover accident Tuesday in Hazel.
At approximately 11:00am, Calloway County 911 Communications dispatched Calloway County Fire & Rescue out to the area of E.W Miller & Hwy 641 South, in the Hazel community, for a vehicle accident with possible injuries involving a semi that had rolled over.
CCFR arrived on scene to find the semi on its side blocking most of the southbound lanes of Hwy 641 South. The semi had been hauling hay on a flat bed trailer when it overturned.
Calloway County Emergency Management was notified of the state highway closure. Murray-Calloway County EMS assisted in checking out the driver and passenger and did transport one to the Murray-Calloway County Hospital for non-life threatening injuries. CCFR provided traffic control while the wrecker service worked to remove the semi from the scene.
CCFR was assisted on scene by Calloway County Sheriff’s Office, Murray Calloway Co. Ambulance, Calloway County Office of Emergency Management and Paul’s Towing. CCFR firefighters were on scene for approximately 5 hours for this incident.
