Marty Gene Riggins

Mr. Marty Gene Riggins, 66, of Dover, Tennessee, was called home to be with our Lord on Sunday, May 19, 2024, with his loving wife by his side.

He was born in Stewart County Saturday, August 10, 1957, the beloved son of the late Glenn and Edith Hilda Riggins. In addition to his parents, he is preceded by his brothers: Sonny Riggins, Blane Riggins, Scotty Riggins, and Tony Riggins.

Marty worked 42 years with Barge Companies as an engineer.

After retirement, he enjoyed rebuilding old Ford Bronco’s with his buddies.

He had a passionate love for raising horses.

Marty and his wife Marilyn spent many wonderful days at Wranglers Campground in LBL, camping out and riding their horses with family and friends.

Marty was a family man who enjoyed spending time at home with his wife, children and especially his grandson.

Marty was a friend to many and to know him was truly a pleasure. He will be truly missed by everyone.

He leaves behind the family that loved him dearly: his wife of 34 years: Marilyn Riggins; son: Daniel Earhart (Holly); daughter: Jennifer Campbell (Madison), both of Dover, Tennessee; precious grandson: Levi Earhart; brother: David Riggins, of Dover, Tennessee; sisters: Joan Simpson, of Dover, Tennessee, and Mable Barnhill, of White House, Tennessee.

A visitation with the family will be held at Anglin Funeral Home Tuesday, May 21, 2024, beginning at 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m.

A Masonic Service to be held at 6:30 pm.

Visitation will resume Wednesday, May 22, 2024, at 12:00 p.m. and continue until the funeral service at 1:00 p.m. with Bro. Terrance Cottle officiating.

Burial will follow at Trinity Cemetery.

Those serving as pallbearers are David Nolen, Ronnie Wallace, Chase Link, Mike Futrell, Alan Ralls, Darrell Crain, Andy Kent, and Wesley Kent.
