Cottage Grove, Tenn.–The Cottage Grove Legislative Council honored Cedar Hill Baptist Church on its status as one of the oldest and continually functioning churches in Henry County. Cottage Grove has proclaimed Sunday, May 19th as Cedar Hill Day. Rev. Kenneth Humphreys is the pastor at Cedar Hill.

The 2024-2025 Proposed Budget was presented to the city council. The May Day meet and greet was a success. Several new neighbors attended.

The one bid presented for the mowing season of 2024-2025 was rejected. The city revised the mowing bid and will advertise again. The bid will be for mowing and weed eating the city hall property every 2 weeks, not to exceed 2 times a month for a three year contract.

Discharging fire arms in the city limits was discussed. No action was taken. The Henry County Mitigation Plan resolution was approved by the Cottage Grove city council.
