Typical spring weather has already affected this week’s postseason schedule for Union City teams and athletes.
The Region 7A Individual Tennis Tournament matches – originally slated for today – have been moved to Wednesday at 11 a.m. due to the threat of rain today and Tuesday. The tourney will still be played at Bethel College, with the singles and doubles champions moving on to state tournament play.
Emma Mobbs (singles) and doubles teams Shelby Bondurant/Molly Kizer and Dani /Davey Frankum will carry the UC banner.
Meanwhile, the West Sectional girls’ team match between Union City and Milan will be played on Thursday at 5 p.m. at the UC Middle School courts. The winner of that match advances to the Class 1A Spring Fling Final 4.
A decision on the Union City at Halls regional semifinal softball game – scheduled for today at 5:30 – will be made later today.
Details on the UC-Memphis Middle College sectional baseball series are expected to be finalized later today
