A contractor for the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet (KYTC) plans an extended closure of KY 783/Crossland Road in Calloway County starting Wednesday, May 15, 2024.

KY 783/Crossland Road will be closed at the 4.19 mile point to allow the West Fork Clarks River Bridge to be replaced.  This is along KY 783 about 1/2 mile south of the Wiswell community – between KY 1550/Wiswell Road and KY 1828/Midway Road.

Due to the placement of a crane to facilitate construction of the new bridge, KY 783/Crossland Road will close promptly at 10 a.m., CDT, on Wednesday.  

Jim Smith Contracting is the prime contractor on this $4,342,726 bridge replacement project that includes construction of a bridge at another location.  The KY 783 project has a target completion date of October 1, 2024.
