
Mr. Jack B. Walton, 86, of Mansfield, Tennessee, passed away Thursday, May 9, 2024, at his residence.
Jack Barnett Walton was born Wednesday, February 2, 1938 in Paris, Tennessee to the late George W. Walton and the late Bertha Barnett Walton. Besides his parents, Jack is also preceded in death by his brother: David Walton.
Mr. Walton was a 1957 graduate of Grove High School.
He was a Baptist by faith and was very passionate about his community.
Jack worked for Redmon’s BBQ, the Paris P.I., Clark’s Office Supplies, and was co-owner with his wife and Ms. Korstad of A to Z Office Products.
He made sure to attend the annual Paris Fish Fry for over 50 consecutive years. In addition, Jack was quite fond of participating in local karaoke.
Jack was an avid fisherman and could find peace fishing in his private ponds or heading out to the lake.
Mr. Walton also coached bitty basketball as well as Paris Little League baseball for 20 years.
He married Sylvia “Kay” Morris Walton in 1984 and she survives in Mansfield.
Jack is also survived by daughter: Christie Robbins Meredith and husband Mickey, of Paris; son: Ricky Robbins, of Nashville; grandson: AJ Carroll, of Paris; and special friends: Rosemary Korstad and Peter Dempsey.
His body is to be cremated and a celebration of his life will be planned for a later date.
