
Ashland City, Tenn.–During Wednesday night’s severe storms, the Ashland City Fire Department responded to several swift water rescue calls.
• First, on Henley Rd., units responded to two houses approximately 4 feet under water. From there, 6 adults, 7 children, 2 dogs, and 4 goats were rescued on foot from standing flood waters.
•Then, on New Hope Rd., units responded to three cabins were several adults were trapped by fast moving flood waters. 5 rescuers were deployed into the water with a motorized rescue boat. 5 adults were rescued from the 3 cabins.
