Union City, Tenn.–A unique Beyond the Brush class is in the works at Discovery Park of America for Saturday, May 11. The theme for this month’s class is Paint and Plant and will be located in the new Farm Credit Mid-America greenhouses.
Guests will paint a flowerpot, then add soil and seeds to it. This would make for a great Mother’s Day gift or activity.

Instructions:
- Guests will create a design. Draw with chalk or pencil. Use painter’s tape to make lines or trace stencils to help.
- Paint large areas first. Let Dry. Then smaller areas. Let Dry again. Add little details and outlines last.
- Take home and enjoy! Don’t forget to water your plant and give it some sunlight.
Ticket prices are $25 for non-members and $15 for members. Children will be $10. Your tickets include all the art supplies and a teacher who will walk you step by step through the painting. Snacks (sweet and savory) with sodas and water will be provided.
