Paris, Tenn.–After much discussion and with a unanimous vote Tuesday night, the Paris Special School District board appointed Shane Paschall as the next Director of Schools. He replaces long-time Director of Schools Dr. Norma Gerrell, who is retiring.
Paschall will officially take the helm on July 1, 2024. He currently is the principal at Bradford High School.
For Paschall, this a return home, as he is a native son of Henry County. School Board officials said, “We are excited to welcome Mr. Paschall and his wife, Monica, to Paris!”
Paschall was one of four finalists for the position. The other three were Dr. Don McPherson of Franklin; Paris Elementary Principal Dr. Chip Gray and Inman Principal Jason Scarbrough.
