
Huntingdon, Tenn.–The Dixie has announced the appointment of Dana Bell Wyatt as the new Ballroom Gallery Director, succeeding Laura DeVille.
Dana Bell Wyatt brings a wealth of artistic talent and community engagement to her new role. Born and raised in Holladay, TN, Dana currently resides in Huntingdon with her husband and daughter. She is a dedicated art teacher at Huntingdon High School and actively contributes to the cultural scene as a member of the Friends of the Dixie Advisory Board. Beyond her visual artistry, Dana is a versatile musician, lending her vocals and instrumental skills to the Bluegrass band, Scattered Grass.
Stepping into the shoes of Laura DeVille, a respected figure in the local arts community, Dana Wyatt expressed her enthusiasm and commitment to continuing DeVille’s legacy of promoting art and creativity. “I am deeply honored to follow in Laura’s footsteps and lead the Ballroom Gallery at The Dixie,” said Wyatt. “Laura has set a high standard of excellence, and I look forward to building upon her accomplishments and fostering a vibrant artistic environment for our community.”
Laura DeVille, who has served as the Ballroom Gallery Director since 2013, leaves behind a remarkable legacy of dedication and artistic insight. A native of Huntingdon, DeVille’s journey in the arts has taken her across continents, from studying Graphic Design at Lambuth University to pursuing her Master of Fine Arts degree in Italy. Her passion for teaching and inspiring others has left an indelible mark on countless students and patrons of The Dixie. The Dixie is honored to have Laura continue to teach her love of art as an instructor of summer and fall camps.
Reflecting on her time at The Dixie, Laura DeVille shared her excitement for Dana Wyatt’s appointment. “I am confident that Dana’s passion for the arts and her deep roots in our community will ensure the continued success of the Ballroom Gallery,” said DeVille. “I look forward to witnessing the gallery flourish under her leadership.”
