Paris, Tenn.–The Henry County Junior Fair Board have pre-packaged 500 student flower pot kits for the 5th graders in the city and county schools.
Over the next two weeks they will be visiting classrooms and bringing a fair project to every child. The classrooms will get a demo pot and each student will be sent home with a kit to grow their own flowers. They have included a special category at the upcoming Henry County Fair for those to be entered for a ribbon placing and premium money.
They will also be going over how your children can get involved in the fair. The 2024 Henry County Fair is set for August 9-17.
Junior Fair officials said, “We hope this project is inspiration for anyone to learn how to grow flowers, fruits and vegetables on their own. Special thanks to Lewy’s for the dirt and for the dry shed to work in this evening.”
