Dover, Tenn.–A Dover man was arrested for breaking into a truck on a boat ramp while the owner was fishing.
On Monday April 22, Stewart County Deputies responded to Blue Creek Boat ramp where a man fishing returned to the boat ramp to find his truck had been broken into. The victim told the deputies of a suspect he had contact with earlier before leaving the boat ramp.
Deputies Zach Grizzard and Grayden Grise located the man still in the area and interviewed him. The man denied knowing anything about the vehicle burglary but the deputies were still suspicious.
The deputies located a foot print on the step rail of the truck and matched to the defendants shoe he was wearing. Eventually the man admitted to the burglary. Deputies arrested George Duncan, age 24.
Sheriff Frankie Gray said, “A great job by the victim for relaying the information to the deputies and a great job by deputies piecing the evidence to gather.”
