Ken “Ocean” Lacy

Ken “Ocean” Lacy, 66, of Puryear, passed away Monday, April 1, 2024, at Henry County Medical Center ER.

Ken Lacy was born Friday, August 23, 1957, in Paris, Tennessee, to the late Billy M. Lacy and the late Kay Hopkins (Jim) Forsythe.

Ocean was a Henry County High School graduate and Baptist in faith.

He enjoyed fishing, the outdoors, spending time with his family, and most especially spending time with his grandchildren.

Ken is survived by his life partner: Carol Pinson, of Puryear, Tennessee; three daughters: Amber Hill (Phillip Long), of Paris, Mandy (Mark) Bullion, of Paris, and Crystal (Adam) Nolen, of Drummonds, Tennessee; seven grandchildren: Ashlyn Aaron, Kane Price, Austin Steele, Brendon Steele, Hailee Vaughn, Carlee Vaughn, and Lauren Bullion; brother: Tim (Mary Lynn) Lacy, of Puryear; and niece and nephew: Kaylynn Lacy and James Lacy, of Puryear.

His funeral service will be held Friday, April 5 at 2:00 p.m. at McEvoy Funeral Home with Bennie Akers officiating.

Burial will follow in Hansel Cemetery.

Visitation with the family will be Thursday, April 4 from 4:00-7:00 p.m. and after 12:00 p.m. Friday until service time at 2:00 p.m., all at McEvoy Funeral Home, 507 W. Washington Street in Paris.

Pallbearers for Mr. Lacy will be Ashlyn Aaron, James Lacy, Mark Snyder, and Randy McCarty.

In honor of Mr. Lacy, monetary donations may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, Tennessee, 38105.
