UPDATE: Drivers, Passenger Injured, Charges Filed In Friday Accident

Henry, Tenn.–The Tennessee Highway Patrol has released its report of Friday afternoon’s two vehicle accident on Hwy. 79S which resulted in three people injured and charges pending against one of the drivers.

One of the patients was airlifted to Vanderbilt Trauma Center with critical injuries after an accident on Hwy. 79S and VanDyke Rd. Friday afternoon. Henry Volunteer Fire Department and Sheriff’s deputies were dispatched to the scene on a report of a motor vehicle accident with entrapment around 4 p.m. The Vanderbilt air ambulance landed on the highway to transport the patient to Vanderbilt.

According to the THP report, a 1998 Chevy Silverado driven by Kenneth Cole Davis, age 18, collided with a 2021 Nissan Titan driven by Steve Jackson, age 77. Both Kenneth Davis and his passener Charles Davis, age 62, were injured, as was Jackson. All were wearing their seat belts.

Charges will be filed against Kenneth Cole Davis of failure to yield and absence of due care.

The THP report does not indicate which of the three was airlifted, nor does it contain the towns where the three live.

Assisting was the Paris-Henry County 911 center, Henry County Sheriffs Office, Henry County EMS, Tennessee Highway Patrol and the local Vanderbilt Aircraft Crew.
