Mayfield Awarded $5.9M To Repair Flood Damage

Mayfield, Ky.–Today was a great day for the City of Mayfield. The City of Mayfield was awarded $5,924,330 through CDBG funds to repair flooding damage.

Mayor Kathy O’Nan, Assistant to the Mayor Emily Lamb, and Public Works Superintendent Aaron Blount, along with daughter Jaden, made the trip to Frankfort and were able to sit in with a meeting with Governor Beshear alongside the Mayfield and Graves County leadership group.

Following that, the City of Mayfield was awarded $5,924,330 through the CDBG-DR funds for the purpose of stormwater infrastructure and rentention to help alleviate flooding issues along Red Duck Creek. This award could not have been possible without the efforts of Senator Mitch McConnell, Governor Andy Beshear and Team Kentucky, Kentucky Department for Local Government – DLG , and the Purchase Area Development District.
