
Calloway County, Ky.–A Murray man whose vehicle was still running and resting on a tree was arrested for DUI and several other charges after he took off, running the car through farm fields and creeks.
On March 8, 2024, at approximately 4 pm deputies were dispatched to a vehicle that had reportedly run off the road in the 9800 block of Hwy 94E.
Upon their arrival they found the vehicle resting on a tree with the driver slumped over the steering wheel. The vehicle was running, in drive with his foot on the accelerator. While attempting to get the driver out, he came to and attempted to leave the scene by backing up.
He got the vehicle off of the tree which put the deputies in great danger. He left the scene at a high rate of speed in the vehicle while officers pursued. He traveled over fields and creeks until he got to his residence, in the area, where he was arrested.
He was brought to Murray Calloway County Hospital where he refused treatment stating he wasn’t injured. He was then lodged at the Calloway County Detention Center.
