James Robert “Jim Bob” Weatherly, 65, of Springville, Tennessee, passed away Sunday, March 3, 2024, at his residence.
Jim Bob was born Thursday, September 11, 1958 in Paris, Tennessee, to the late Robert C. Weatherly and the late Jamie Sue Brite Weatherly. Besides his parents, Mr. Weatherly is also preceded in death by grandchildren: Carly-Jo Maree Weatherly and Tate Jerald Weatherly.
Mr. Weatherly was a lifelong member of First United Methodist Church in Paris.
He worked at Central Electric since 1977.
He then became owner/operator of Weatherly’s Central Electric in 1994 and retired in January of 2020.
He was an avid outdoorsman, loving husband, father, and grandfather.
He married Terri Hill Weatherly Saturday, April 14, 1979, and she survives in Springville.
Jim Bob is also survived by his daughter: Cassie Marie Weatherly, of Springville; son: Adam Robert (Cassie Jo Moody) Weatherly, of Paris; sister: Frances “Fran” (Michael) Jenkins, of Paris; grandchildren: Clay Michael Weatherly and Drew Robert Weatherly; nephew and nieces: Cliff Brogdon, Alicia Matheny Lassiter, and Matt Matheny; great-nieces and nephews: Madison Matheny, Olivia Kate Jones, and Sawyer Matheny; and by sister-in-law: Sandy (Wayne) Odom.
His funeral service will be 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, March 6, 2024, at McEvoy Funeral Home with Pastor Joy Weathersbee of First United Methodist Church officiating.
Burial will follow the service in Palestine Cemetery.
Named as pallbearers are: Justin Smith, Steve Jones, Jerry Nance, Dan Hill, Brad Olds, Shane Kemp, Scott Cobb, and Lee Jones; with honorary pallbearers: Neil Peery, Matthew Hodge, and Randy Swor.
Visitation is scheduled at McEvoy from 4:00 until 7:00 p.m. Tuesday and after 11:00 A.M. Wednesday until time of service.
