
Eztira D. “Zet” Presson, 91, of Paris, Tennessee, passed away Sunday, March 3rd, 2024, at Rose Stone Manor.
Eztira was born July 22, 1932 to Ara D. Presson and Nonie Presson (both preceded) in Henry County, Tennessee.
Mr. Presson was a member of the U.S. Army at Fort Bening, Georgia.
He was a dedicated member of the Church of Christ, being sure to attend regardless of where he was located.
Zet also worked at McLoud Steel and partnered with his son to create his own business: Presson’s Waterproofing Basements.
Monday, July 23, 1951, Eztira married Mary E. “Betty” Presson. She preceded him in death after 68 years of marriage Monday, September 9, 2019.
He is survived by a multitude of family members: his daughter: Debbie (Tim) Roberts, of Columbia, Tennessee; his son: Michael (Teresa) Presson, of Greenfield, Tennessee; his grandchildren: Lisa Marie (Heath) Allen, Brandon (April) Herrington, Elizabeth (Andy) Sajovic, Ryan (Laura) Herrington, Liz Presson (Alexander), Michael D. Presson Jr., James Presson, Kenny Presson, Taylor Mexico and Josh Mexico; his nieces: Diana Hargrove and Jennifer Crawford. He was also survived by his 12 great-grandchildren.
Zet was a very kind and loving person.
He loved his family, and he loved children.
He was a wonderful, godly father.
He had two nieces that he loved very much; they were his caretakers in the end: Diana Hargrove and Jennifer Crawford.
Mr. Presson’s visitation will take place after 11 a.m. Thursday, March 7 at McEvoy Funeral Home.
His funeral will be at 2 p.m. following his visitation with Josh Manning of East Wood Church of Christ to officiate.
Eztira is to be buried at Hillcrest Memorial Park after services.
His honored pallbearers include Jacob Allen, Austin Allen, Wesley Sajovic, Brandon Herrington, and Ryan Herrington.
