Paris, Tenn.–The Henry County Sheriff’s Office Criminal Investigation Division has been investigating a case involving the Financial Exploitation of an elder. The case stems from a person that was employed by the victim’s family as a sitter.
According to Sheriff Josh Frey, “It was discovered shortly after the sitter was terminated that cash and other items were missing from the victim’s home.”
The Henry County Sheriff’s Office Criminal Investigation Division, 24th Drug Task Force and Henry County Sheriff’s Office Patrol officers executed a search warrant at 845 Broadview Rd, Springville, TN. on 02/22/2024, the residence of Melony Jones (former employee) and did recover evidence that led to Mrs. Jones being charged with Theft over $60,000.00 and Possession Of Methamphetamine with Intent to deliver.
The investigation is currently still ongoing as any other persons that profited from this crime can and will be charged.
