
Ms. Zelma Ahart, 88, of Dover, Tennessee, passed away Saturday, February 17, 2024.
She was born Sunday, October 13, 1935, in Model, Tennessee, the beloved daughter of the late Dewey and Mary Hughes Fox.
Zelma worked many years at Uncle Joe’s Department Store and LBL Homeplace until her retirement.
She enjoyed gardening and yard work.
She loved the Lord and attended Life Point Church in Clarksville, Tennessee.
Zelma shared an endless love for her family.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her loving husband: James E. Ahart; brother: Roy and William Fox; sisters: Stella Farmer, Mavis May, Hilda Luffman, Linda Henderson, Norma Jean Fox, and Eva Fox.
Zelma leaves behind her precious daughters: Stacey Crockarell (Greg) and Lisa McPherson (Rick), both of Dover, Tennessee; sisters: Marjorie Boren, of Franklin, Tennessee, Bettie Joy Earon, of Dover, Tennessee; precious grandchildren: Bo Crockarell, Shayna McPherson and Jayden Delaney (Kaleb); and two great-grandchildren.
A visitation will be held Friday, February 23, 2024, from 1:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m. at Stewart County Memorial Gardens.
The graveside service will be held at 3:00 p.m.
Family will serve as pallbearers.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital in Zelma Ahart’s memory.
