Mrs. Dora Faye Hooper, 79, died at her residence Tuesday, February 13, 2024.
She was born Wednesday, March 8, 1944, in Huntingdon, to James and Frances Fuller Murphy. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband: John D. Hooper; stepdaughter: Nina Hooper; one grandson: Justin Hooper. and one great-granddaughter: Adilynn Morgan.
She is a member of Shiloh Baptist Church Bradford and worked at Kellwood in Trenton.
She is survived by her children: Tony Montgomery, of Bradford, Sandra Montgomery (Tracy Forrest), of Bradford, Deborah (Ira) Harper, of Bradford, and Angela Mayfield, of Camden; step-children: Janie Hooper, Lindy Hooper, Lloyd (LeAnn) Hooper, Frank ( Ginger) Hooper, and John (Marie) Hooper, Jr.; one sister: Emma Mae (Gary) Waller, of Humboldt; two brothers: Lloyd Earl Murphy, of Milan and Larry Joe (Sharon) Murphy, of Humboldt; 30 grandchildren; 56 great-grandchildren; and three great great-grandchildren.
Funeral services for Mrs. Hooper are Saturday, February 17, 2024, at 1:00 p.m. at First Baptist Church Trezevant.
The family will receive friends at the church from 10:30 a.m. until service time.
The interment is at Trezevant Cemetery and the officiant is Brother Thomas Azbell.
