Paris, Tenn.–The Paris Pickleball Club held its first ever MLP Style Tournament at the First United Methodist Church Saturday. Nine teams of four competed for the championship, but it was the Food Pantry that actually won the day.
Each player was asked to bring five items for the pantry as part of the entry fee. Club Spokesperson Marsha Banasiewicz said, “This is our way of saying thank you to the Church for its ongoing support of the club and its members and an opportunity to pay that support forward.”.
The Paris Pickleball Club was established in early 2023 and currently boasts 65 members. The purpose of the club is to promote Pickleball in the Paris/Henry County Area and give back to the community whenever possible.
Look for them in the Fish Fry Parade and be sure to look for Team Mascot Dillilah Picklesworth. And join them for the 2nd Annual Eiffel Tower Classic to be held May 3 – 5.
