
Paris, Tenn.–With the $3,190 raised today, the new year-to-date total for the Henry County Helping Hand Radio Auction is at $216,003.
Donating 10 slates of items toay were the Paris Soccer Club, Henry Co. Cemetery Committee, Henry County Archives, Henry Co. Genealogical Society and the Henry Co. Chamber Music Society. Auctioneers were Darrin Thompson and David Jackson.
Saturday will be one of the auction’s biggest days, with the First Baptist Church having both a day-time and night-time auction.
Church members will start raising money even before the auction starts, with grilled bologna sandwich lunches served beginning at 11 a.m. Cost will be $8.
Auctioneer for the day auction will be Jamie Orr, with Doug Taylor serving as auctioneer for the in-house night auction.

The night auction is in-house and will not be on the radio. It starts at 6 p.m.

Helping Hand runs from January 8 through February 28 and raises thousands of dollars each year for over 90 non-profit and public service organizations. Last year was a banner year, with a record-setting $519,630 raised.
